Going EVEN Greener: Our New Sustainability Push
Our 2024 drive for sustainable exhibiting!
Here at Open exhibitions sustainability has always been at the heart of our business. We are excited to announce a new sustainability initiative for 2024 as part of our commitment to environmental responsibility. As an exhibition company based in Warwick, we recognise that our operations have an impact on the environment. That’s why we are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint and promote ecologically conscious practices across all aspects of our business.
One area we are targeting is waste reduction. This includes working with vendors to use compostable or recyclable material where possible. We are also installing more comprehensive waste sorting facilities and signage to encourage proper recycling and composting. Announcing our new tie up with B&M Waste services Our goal is to achieve over 99% waste diversion from landfills.
In our offices, We are also conducting energy audits to identify other areas for efficiency upgrades, such as LED lighting and low-flow water fixtures. Our staff will be encouraged to adopt sustainability best practices during their daily work too.
These examples represent just a few of the sustainability initiatives we have planned. As an organisation, we are committed to continuous improvement when it comes to our environmental footprint. We will be tracking quantitative metrics each year to monitor our progress and identify new opportunities to “go greener”.
We’re excited about the road ahead and our ability to deliver events and exhibitions more sustainably and responsibly. Stay tuned for more updates as our sustainability journey unfolds!
